Ofrenda Blossoms for Ghost Bikes — Event Details

- November 1st and 2nd marks the 25th anniversary of MECA’s Dia de Muertos Festival. Come enjoy the festival and be sure to come inside and visit the special Ofrenda Blossoms for Ghost Bikes Exhibition inside MECA’s building to see the thoughtful and powerful Ofrenda tributes to eight ghost bike riders who tragically lost their lives on the streets of Houston. There is also a Ghost Bike Ofrenda Booth located outside on the Festival grounds, where you can learn some additional information about the project and pick up some free giveaways. All events are free and open to the public. 
- Location: MECA (Multicultural Education and Counseling Through The Arts) is located at 1900 Kane St, Houston, TX 77007, in the Historic Old 6th Ward. 
- Dates / Times: - The Ofrenda Blossoms for Ghost Bikes Exhibition will be on display at MECA from October 17 through November 25. 
- ‘Noche de la Ofrenda”, the official kick-off of the celebration month will take place at MECA on Friday, October 17. 
- The Dia de los Muertos Festival is a 2-day celebration taking place on Saturday Nov 1 and Sunday, November 2, from 11-8 each day.
