Houston Maritime Center & Museum

The newly reopened Houston Maritime Center & Museum has a new home on the banks of Buffalo Bayou in Houston’s East River Development. This new space in the Greater East End enjoys the proximity of downtown Houston and provides another fascinating destination for both Houstonians and visitors to our city.

Now included within the museum, is an art gallery featuring rotating exhibitions of maritime art. The inaugural exhibition currently on display represents a variety of work created by local artists from the Houston Visual Artists Network.

Two of my watercolors are included in the show. One is a plein air painting I did this summer in Split, Croatia entitled, “Harborside”. The second painting, “Carrier Shell”, is of my favorite shell that I have in my shell collection. All works are available for sale.
